Pirkkola Inline Skating Rink is an open-air 200 meters inline skating oval in Pirkkola, Northern Helsinki. The skating track has the width of 6 meters and the radius of 15 meters.
The skating rink was opened in May 2009, and it is the first rink dedicated for inline skating in Metropolitan Helsinki area. The skating rink is maintained by the Helsinki Skating Clubs HTL and HLK, and it is open for the public for inline skating practice from early May until mid-September against a season fee of 20 euros.
The season fee can be paid to a Finnish bank account OKO 572068-20057169. Please fill in the form on the left side of this page. If you are just visiting Helsinki, you are wellcome to try the rink free-of-charge. Please follow the instructions that may be given to the users of the rink.
Except for public holidays and in the middle of the vacation period, there are organized training sessions on the rink at least on Mondays (beginner training sessions by Katukiitäjät), Tuesdays (Competitive skaters and juniors years 8-13) and Thursdays (Competitive skaters and junitors years 8-13 years). The organized training sessions typically start at 6 pm.

Helsinki Roller Marathon is the traditional highlight of the inline skating season in Helsinki. In 2009, the event is organized in the new Pirkkola 200 m inline skating rink on August 8, at 12 noon. This year, the HRM Event consists of three separate distances.
12:00 noon HRM inline skaters 10 km (or 50 laps)
14:00 pm HRM inline skaters 20 km (or 100 laps)
17:00 pm HRM marathon inline skaters 42.2 km (or 211 laps)
Pirkkola inline skating rink was opened in Northern Helsinki in May 2009. It includes 200 m inline skating rink and the rink has 15 m curves. The rink is open for anyone for practice against a season fee of 20 euros. For participants of HRM 2009, there is no fee during the week starting August 1, 2009.
The participation fee is 20 euros, to be paid to the account of the organizers 572068-20057169 by August 4. Please also fill the registration form. You can also register by the start line until one hour prior to the the start against a fee of 30 euros.

Helsinki Inline GP 2009 will be organized in connection with Helsinki Roller Marathon on August 8, 2009. The event will start at 10 am at Pirkkola Rink. There will be only a single distance, 200 meter lap with a flying start. Each particant will be recorded a time, and one may try several times, provided that the schedule allows it. The event is not intended only for active competitive skaters, but also young juniors, veteran skaters and all other inline skaters are encouraged to participate
The participation fee is 5 euros, and the registration takes place by the Rink prior to the event. There will be a single prize drawn by the lottery among the participants.
